I frequently need to add the tax to a number when I enter it. I must have
looked at every single calculator ever written for the Mac, including
several fancy HP's. Not one had a percent sign. So I decided to write my
own little program to figure out the tax. This is the result. The source
code is included, should you need to customize the FKEY. Please do not

 Description:
 Mini Clock 1.2 - MiniClock is a small clock application that requires
around 20K of RAM. It does what a clock is supposed to do - tell time. It
doesn't include seconds, but it has the neat feature of letting you change
its background and forground color. Why use MiniClock? MiniClock actually
fits on your monitor. I'm a diehard Mac user, and have a PowerBook, but I
don't have any room on my Mac for that huge Alarm Clock (I call it the
space shuttle) that Apple includes as standard. So I wrote this. It doesn't
have seconds, and doesn't have an alarm (but I plan to add one). It's
really simple, yet great... This is the smallest digital clock I've seen.

 McZip 2.3 - McZip is a stand alone application that enables the Macintosh
user to access over 42,120 cities and five digit zip codes in all of the
continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories in both the
Atlantic and the Pacific, including the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
This is approximately 1,000 pages of data. The user may search by either a
city, a state (two letter code), or a zip code. McZip will return the
complete parameters based on the single input of any one parameter. A
complete search of all 42,000+ cities (on the average) takes between 2 and
2.5 minutes when run from a hard disk. The search is sequential. Searching
by street or Zip+4 is not an option.

color printing capabilities with a color capable printer, but it is hard
wired to only work with certain printers. You can ResEdit FileMaker Pro so
that it permits color printing from PowerPrint. To do this, you must add
the PowerPrint driver id (20) to the list of acceptable drivers. NOTE -
FileMaker v1.02 or higher is REQUIRED, earlier versions do NOT support
color. This ResEdit hint is given by Brad Dolman, who is not related to
Claris Corporation, the makers of the commercial FileMaker Pro.

application that can be easily programmed by saving and editing the
keystrokes for repeating. Most of the functions are obvious and perform as
they would on any calculator. There are six memory locations that can be
used. It is designed to be used on a 13" or 14" monitor (640x480) but can
also be used on a Classic size monitor by selecting "Classic" under the
WINDOWS menu. The shareware fee for this program is $5. You are free to try
out the program, copy it and pass it on, but you may not modify it in any

fixes a bug that occured on Power Macs and 040 Macs  when copying to the

to design it around the way I work. Unfortunately, I’m no rocket scientist,
and my work habits are less than ideal. The important thing to remember
about Guy Friday is that it’s designed for slobs. If you’re not a slob, you
still might like it, but I doubt it. Go back to where you came from. I
could never understand why most people use those Personal Information
Manager programs that want you to organize information for the sake of the
computer’s convenience. Guy Friday was designed to be used like a scrap of
paper. Jot something down, stick it in your pocket, and then look for it
when you need it. It's a free form personal database. Try it!

kept asking my mother for her recipes, but, of course, they were scattered
everywhere. My mother asked me if she could enter them into her computer,
thus allowing her to have them at her disposal and not having to re-write
them for everyone. The Big Deal about this program is that you can enter
your recipes into the cookbook the way they were meant to be entered, with
fractions. You enter 2 3/4 cups AS 2 3/4 cups, not as 2.67 cups as most
programs make you do. I didn't count how many recipes there are, but
there's tons! The layout is easy to follow and beautiful!

enabled our family to draw up the layout of our ideas for a house. You
select a piece from a menu and drop it into a square. This application was
inspired by a building company that builds it's houses using a 900mm square
grid. So this app was handy, and we had them build our House. (Bovelle
Homes, Perth, Western Australia, ask for Wayne Beale. Tell them we sent
you!) It was intended to enable me to rough-out a floor plan that I could
print and then pencil in the furniture and fixtures etc. Therefore No EDIT
menu items can be used, and it will only ever be a simple Monochrome, B+W,

 CheckBook 1.5.1 - CheckBook (formerly Account Manager) is designed to help
you keep track of the balance of a bank account. While a spreadsheet or
database can do this, it seems like overkill for the simple task of
recording and adding a series of transactions. This is a pretty straight
forward program. Simply choose New Transaction, fill in the details and
save it. Then, when it's been reconciled with the bank, there's a checkbox
for that. You can also sort entries by date, amount and type. Limit of
32,000 transactions in any one file.
